BBC radio Bristol are spending the whole day with us tomorrow to interview people about their experiences of life in Brislington. Please come over to share your stories.

 

After that we have a quiz at 8pm organised by Friends of Holymead Infant School. Come along, if you think you are smart enough!! £3 per person.

Mother's day 27th March 2012

Mother's day was great with lots of you attending.

 

We have had some really busy evenings recently, so make sure you drop in. The menu is great and we have a great choice of wines to wash things down with.

 

Our 25% sale on Thurs and Sat nights for food is still on, but won't last forever, so please come and take advantage :-)

Apologies for the lack of updates to the website over the past few months.

 

We have had some changes to the team with Glynn now heading up the kitchen, with Charlie and Anna supporting.

 

His improved menu inspired by many of your requests has main courses and starters that are continually changing, as well as T Cup favourites which are here to stay.

 

Christmas has been very busy with many of you choosing to enjoy your parties with us. Thanks for all the really positive feedback!!

 

We are closed Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, Boxing Day. Tuesday 27th Dec  open 10 - 3, then closed New Year's Eve and day. Other than that, business as usual so please join us in the festive celebrations!!

We hope you are enjoying the deluxe evening meal and choice of drinks.

 

We have slightly changed our hours to a 6pm finish on a Sunday. This is because it has been very quiet. We will look to review this as the evenings get lighter. Please let us know if you have any opinions on this.

 

Finally, if you are or know a good chef, we are looking to recruit now that our opening times have increased.

We have achieved a late licence!!!!!!

 

Chef has got an amazing new menu, that will change regularly. His Michelin experience is definitely coming into play now!!

Don't forget that you can now enjoy your meal with a glass of wine, beer or spirit.

 

Our new opening hours are 9am - 11pm Wednesday to Sunday.

 

We are closing at 6 on Mondays and Tuesdays - for now.

 

Chef's night off is on Sunday, but we will still serve our complete range of alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks, as well as paninis, cakes and snacks.

What a year 2010 has been for us. This time last year T Cup was an empty shell. We have come a long way since then.

 

If you have a couple of minutes to spare, please fill out our customer satisfaction survey.  We have done this just to make sure we are providing you with all that want from T Cup.

We are super pleased to announce that we can now serve alcohol from 12pm.

 

You can now enjoy a delicious range of wines, bottled beers and a draft Stella Artois (4%).

I hope you have been in to taste our delightful new menu and quali-T Sunday roasts. Adam is helping us put together a great Christmas menu that we will be launching soon. His Michelin Star experiences should ensure some exciting variations on the traditional turkey theme.

 

I hope you enjoyed our spooky cup cakes made over halloween.

 

We are hoping to put in an application for later opening hours and an alcohol license over the next week. This will enable us to provide some really good quality food later in the evening, and also let you relax over a nice glass of wine.

We have another great new menu for you to try. 

 

Our succulent new dishes include Chef's Thai Green Curry. Adam attended cookery school in Thailand, so we are sure you will find this delicious.

 

The vegetarian lasagne introduced with our Sunday roasts is now available every day. There is also a flavour filled pork and vegetable stir fry. 

 

Breakfasts are still going really well and the great deal of a free T or coffee with English and veggie breakfasts is still available Monday - Thursday.

 

Also, don't forget to pop in for a luscious Sunday lunch.

What an amazing day!! Second Sunday doing roasts and it went brilliantly. You were all fantastic. We had some really positive comments.

 

A huge thanks to the team - Adam head chef, Georgia, Suzanne, Polly, Matt and Claire.

 

If you haven't tried it come next Sunday for a mouth watering feast and great friendly service.

I am just making the final adjustments to our brand new Sunday dinner menu. We will now be serving traditional Sunday roasts with all the trimmings.

 

We have a choice of starters to choose from including a portabella mushroom topped with caramelised onion, bacon & brie.

 

This Sunday we have beef or pork roast, salmon fillet with a herb crust and a vegetarian lasagne to choose from. 

 

Following that, tuck into one of our mouth watering puddings including chefs apple pie.

 

The Sunday menu will be changing  regularly so let us know if you have a favourite dish.

You asked, and we have now got a kids' menu, in addition to half portions on our lunch menu. Thanks for the mums who helped us write it.

 

Our main menu has changed again with a fab new stuffed chicken with smoked cheese wrapped in parma ham.

 

We have also got some delicious home-made salmon and dill fishcakes.

 

Out world T Cup promo went really well with loads of you trying out the World T Cup tagliatelle, burger and bangers and mash.

 

Signage is now everywhere at your request. We have drinks above the bar and a full menu on display. Aslso keep an eye out for the specials board, which is regularly changing with some amazing dishes.

 

We have now got some bay trees at our entrance which has always been part of my cafe dream!!

 

Bristol radio interviewed us today so so listen tomorrow at 11.30.

WE HAVE A NEW MENU!!!

 

Adam has come up with some amazing new additions. Glynn and I have sampled them and can vouch for how good they taste.

 

Amongst others we now have a chicken parmigiana which is heavenly. Glynn and I were fighting over the last mouthfuls of our sample.

 

The new chicken, bacon and avocado salad is divine. I had it for tea and found the hit of mango brought it to life.

 

We are also running some promos over the world T Cup. There will be £2 off selected dishes during games so don't miss out.

 

The World T Cup burger is home made and comes with bacon and mozzarella and is gorgeous. This is discounted during games along with our World T Cup mushroom tagliatelle and  World T Cup bangers and mash. (Seriously nice sausages!!)

It is hard to believe we have been open nearly 3 weeks! 

 

We hope that you are all enjoying T Cup as a place to 'chillax' now that most of our teething issues are over.

 

Our outdoor furniture arrived last week so you can now enjoy the summer weather with a freshly pressed orange juice or cup of peppermint tea.

 

Adam the chef started today so menu updates will come soon.

Sunday was the best roll out of breakfast we have done. John and Glynn worked brilliantly.

 

Good to see we are getting rated online now. More encouraging emails received so thanks for those. We will be getting some granulated sugar for espressos and have got some plastic cups now for our younger guests.

 

We will be getting loads of outdoor furniture this week which will be perfect if we get some more scorchers.

This week has been great. We are really finding our feet and have enjoyed starting to get to know lots of you. We have taken on board many of your comments and are incorporating them into our service.

 

I have put up a sign indicating to pay at the bar at your request. We have also amended our hot drinks policy so that we now give them to you at the bar to avoid delay.

 

We have changed the menu so that half portions are available on many items to cater for our younger, smaller or less hungry customers. We have also added raisins as a snack. The menus are now laminated as card was no match for espresso...

We had another really busy day. Great to see some familiar faces from Saturday.

 

I know we weren't perfect this weekend but thanks for all the support and advice. Lots to learn from!!

 

Staff did brilliantly from a standing start. We have seen areas to improve so will be implementing changes this week.

 

Highs = Glynn's pasta dish, definetely worth a try!!

 

Lows = mad start with not quite enough experience behind the team.

 

Looking forward to a week of training. Pop in for a mocha!!

What an amazing opening day! We can not believe how many of you came!

 

We had some really encouraging comments and some great ideas on things to try on the menu.

 

Apologies for any teething problems that you may have endured. We were a little under staffed due to the unexpected volume combined with everyone being on their first day. I know that our hot drink service was not quite up to scratch so please forgive us. 

 

Lots of you said how great the food was which was brilliant to hear.

 

We have learnt lots of lessons today so will hopefully be much slicker tomorrow. Thank you for your patience and we hope to see you again, soon.

Everything has stepped up a gear as we make preparations for our opening on Saturday.

 

The furniture is in, we are all now coffee experts having received our barista training, the fridges are full.

Most of the floor is down now and it is looking really good. A big thank you to Widget who has been working around the clock to get things finished.

We have had some really positive comments emailed to us from you all following our mailing so thank you!! Later opening hours is a key issue. This is something that we hope to address once we are established.

Partial flyering complete. Some flyers left behind lost to puppy... Our labradoodle puppy decided to destroy about 200! Lesson learned - close all doors.

 

Despite the loss, we had a great day out in the sun chatting to lots of you!! Dog forgiven.

 

More flyering planned for tomorrow.

We have paint!!

 

The place is really starting to feel like something special is happening.

 

We have also just received a delivery of 3,000 flyers to post, so a big walking weekend planned. Hopefully a few of you will have arrived at this site as a result of our mailing :-)

The windows are now in place. We have some concertina windows that open totally to let the air flow through. This will keep everyone nice and cool in what will hopefully be a lovely warm summer.

 

We have a base coat on the walls and are experimenting with colours that will most probably be in-line with this website.

 

The outside walls are being rendered. The kitchen is on order.

The plaster board is up!

 

News is a little bit thin on the ground as we are still renovating but every day brings us closer to our proposed opening date of 26th April.

 

The stud walls are up in the toilets where we have a spacious baby changing come disabled facility as well as male and female cubicles and a stylish wash area.

 

The hygenic surfaces have been put in place ready for the open plan kitchen to be fitted the week after next.

 

Half the windows are in, the wiring and plumbing set ready for action.

 

All of the team are doing an amazing job. Will try and get some pictures up soon.
